This tool can average connection speed for any Internet provider, country or city in the world. 's speed test database stores information on millions of Internet connections. Test My Download Speed Test My Upload SpeedÄo you want to research connection speed for Germany ( DE)? 's Download Speed Test and Upload Speed Test log connection information to allow users to research real world Internet speed test results. They want you to think your connection is running perfectly. This test is unbiased, it tests and grades all providers on the same criteria. When providers host their own speed tests they eliminate the variables that you're here to test. A third party opinion is necessary and the provider shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the process. Should I just stay where i'm at (grandfathered on this EXTREME UPGRADE / STANDARD INTERNET) and maybe replace the SB6141 with an SB6183 modem upgrade instead to see if I get over 235Mbps? I don't want to pay 30 bucks more for no change in upload speeds, and I don't want to downgrade to 200Mbps if i'm already above it anyway. We believe that it's a conflict of interest when Internet service providers operate their own speed tests. So eventually I decided that doing nothing is the best option, and decided to come here where I might actually get the real information. That would be 30 dollars more than i'm paying now. I asked about how much the next higher package was, and he said it was ULTRA INTERNET for 99.99 - 400Mbps download and 20Mbps upload. I tried to explain that it wasn't true and that the whole purpose of the phone call was to get a better modem because I'm already hitting ~235Mbps download and that my current package is most likely even higher than that, but that I might just be bottlenecked by the modem. rep claimed that my current EXTREME UPGRADE was 30Mbps download, and he was offering me an upgrade to 200Mbps download. So I called Spectrum to see if they can send me a better modem since I found out that rentals are now free, and had a VERY confusing conversation that went no where. I was concerned that I was "bottlenecked" by my SB6141 modem (bought it myself) after doing some research - I think if i had a better modem i can go above 235Mbps. On speedtest, I can hit 235Mbps/24Mbps almost all the time. It says "EXTREME UPGRADE / STANDARD INTERNET". I'm paying 69.99 (non-promotional) in San Diego for my internet.
